Terrible customer service

AVOID BLOOMSTODAY!!! I ordered a corsage online from BloomsToday on May 5, 2012 to be delivered Saturday, May 12, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas. On Friday, May 11, 2012, I called customer service to confirm the order and verify that it would be delivered as requested. I was assured the flowers would be delivered as ordered. Since it was Mother's Day weekend, I explained that the flowers were for a high school prom, and specifically asked if the local florist had the order and had confirmed delivery. I was advised that it had. At 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 12, I learned the corsage had not arrived. I immediately called the customer "service" line and was greeted by a recording advising me it was a busy weekend and customer service would not be available until Monday. At 4:51 p.m. I received a call from a representative of BloomsToday who stated that the order would have to be cancelled because "they could not find a florist to deliver!!!" I explained the history of my order and asked why they had waited until it was too late for me to seek any alternative. The representative said she had no idea, saw from the notes that I had called the day before, said they had tried over 9 different florist to get one to deliver (?) and assured me my credit card would be reimbursed (no kidding!) The conversation was completely unsatisfactory with no offer of any recompense and no excuse that had any credibility whatsoever. I did promptly receive an email confirming the cancellation of my order! In my opinion, this is a TERRIBLE company with nonexistent customer service.

In summary, I would not recommend Blooms Today to a friend.
