1-800-flowers.com RUINED A 90TH BIRTHDAY gift!! I ordered flowers on Tuesday for a Friday delivery for Mom's 90th birthday party. Due to health issues my husband and I were unable to travel so we ordered a flower arrangement that was made to look like a birthday cake with candles. The ad listed the flowers as available for next day delivery so I assumed that meant something like this was kept on hand. I ordered the arrangement 3 days in advance just to make sure (or so I thought) they would be there! I looked at several flower sites and we liked the colors and flowers of this arrangement the best. My brothers and sisters were giving Mom a party at the apartment complex where she lives so since we couldn't be there I thought this would at least let them know we were there in spirit. I got a call Friday afternoon from customer service telling me the flowers could not be delivered. They said they could deliver some flowers Saturday, but not the flowers I had originally ordered. I ordered 3 days ahead of time!! You would think if they weren't available they would call prior to the day they were supposed to be delivered? That way I could have made other arrangements. I would have even considered picking out something different if that meant getting them there ontime. The site says "100% satisfaction guaranteed". I am not at all satisfied because what good is it to have flowers delivered the day after you need them??? They are supposedly crediting my credit card but they didn't know how long that would take. I will definitely be writing more if that doesn't happen. I have bought many many flowers online and never had a problem until now. I am very dissatisfied with 1-800-flowers.com and will make sure everyone I come in contact with will know they are not reliable to get flowers there on time!

In summary, I would not recommend 1-800-Flowers.com to a friend.
